A follower in other words refers to someone who demonstrates allegiance to a person, doctrine, cause, or the like. A follower often has an implication of personal relationship or of deep devotion to authority or to a leader.
Okay so now everyone knows what a follower is but how is that related to social networking sites and Instagram. A follower on a social networking site is an individual that has chosen to be informed of any updates made to the account he or she is following.
But why are followers so important?
